Each year Sunderland ARCH is present at a number of events in the city and across the region.

Sunderland ARCH Training for partner organisations

Training sessions have been running to make sure front line staff in all Sunderland ARCH partner organisations are trained about the ARCH system. There are two different sessions:

ARCH IT training

In this session people learn about what ARCH is for and what benefits of various organisations working together are. During the training people learn and have a chance to practise how to input details of racist incidents, including adding any witnesses or perpetrators, how to use case management system to add any actions taken by the organisations. It is also explained how to deliver the training to other people within the organisation.

ARCH anti-discrimination training

These are interactive sessions aimed at widening the knowledge of front line staff:

  • in race and diversity issues;
  • the impact of hate crime on victims and
  • discrimination in society

When Sunderland ARCH taking reports of homophobic incidents. Anti-discriminatory training around homophobia and transphobia will be looked at during the training in more detail.
